The Real Estate.com website has shown there has been an increase of 8.5% in the Hunter market in the past 12 months. With a 17% increase in rent prices over this timeframe as well.

The area is becoming a wonderful place to invest in, with good rental and sale returns..and with 1 or 2 interest rate drops predicted this year…the Hunter region is tipped to be become a booming region.

From the back of Edgeworth to Singleton, to Lochinvar and Maitland suburbs, the significant growth has been caused by those wanting a “tree change” and people moving for their jobs… with the Health Sector being a big driver for employment- especially since the new Maitland Hospital was opened a couple of years ago.

Areas like Greta, that were once considered too far away and an old country town , have grown in popularity, due to the Hunter Expressway and the town of Huntlee being close by with shops and amenities.

Where once it was hard to sell a House and Land Package for $450,000!- yes that is house and land combined!!( I remember those days from 5 years ago)- these Hunter areas are now selling land only for $400,000 plus , with resales of homes climbing towards the 1 million dollar mark.

The fresh air and greenery and the accessibility with the road structures have helped the Hunter immensely …with the gorgeous Hunter Valley Vineyards being on the doorstep.
