Dreams do come true for this GIRL and AN ORANGE SUIT

I received my “action shots” back from my Stars of Newcastle dance at Civic Theatre Newcastle a few weeks back from Jackson Barry.

I am pretty proud of my efforts, both with fundraising (I raised $9,396) and dancing….and the photos will be great to show my future grandkids…I will be saying” this is what your Nana did at 53!”.

My love of dance has been reignited, I am now on the lookout for adult jazz ballet classes around Newcastle, and can’t wait to get back to 3 dance lessons a week like I was doing for Stars of Newcastle.

I don’t know if I will have the chance to perform on stage again, it was exhilarating and frightening all at once, but being under those lights and hitting that stage was a dream come true.

I felt like a proper Theatre performer, sitting front of stage in rehearsals, being in the Green Room on the night and waiting in the wings before my dance…..and walking out of the Stage Door with people congratulating me..that was a pinch me moment…I am normally the one standing at that door trying to get a Musical Theatre performer’s attention…I know I am a Musical Theatre Tragic!!

What an experience Stars of Newcastle was, I met new friends and raised money for Cancer Council NSW it was an amazing opportunity and event..Thank-you to everyone involved especially Dani….and dancing on the Civic Theatre stage was definitely an item crossed off my bucket list.
