This Girl and an Orange Suit is still Dancing to ABBA

With my dance teacher Jess at Belmont Dance Centre

My love of ABBA runs very deep, I can remember as an 8 year old gazing up at my next door neighbour’s ABBA poster on her bedroom wall and wishing I could be in their group.

I can still remember my first ABBA album- ARRIVAL- yes the one where they are all sitting in a helicopter…I stared at that cover for ages!!

My love of Dancing Queen gets me on the dancefloor in about 5 seconds flat and I always change the words…”only 17”…to what ever age I am at the time…which at the moment is 53!!

So to say I am thrilled to be dancing to ABBA for my Stars of Newcastle journey is a huge understatement…I am freakin’ so happy!! and I get to dance at the Civic Theatre..woohoo!!

I am so grateful to have this opportunity to not only dance at the Civic Theatre one last time (I was on that stage about 45 years ago!!) but to be raising money for Cancer Council NSW- which will help with services, support and research .

Also a shout out to Alex The Seal podcast…Jo and Sandy said my name on their Season 10 Episode 3 show- where they were talking about ABBA (I had put in a request for some info on ABBA)…my 8 year old self was jumping up and down hearing my name being said in the same sentence as ABBA!!

If you would like to donate to Cancer Cancer NSW for my Stars of Newcastle journey my fundraising page is below…this Dancing Queen is having the best time right now!!
