This Girl in an Orange Suit went to the Races

I actually blended into the Newcastle Racecourse sign on the biggest Horse Race in the Newcastle and Hunter Region, on the weekend.

It was an exciting day, with so many people at the Race Course and the Fashions On the Field(which I entered) was exciting…I had never been in a Fashion line up before- some of the ladies there looked absolutely incredible!!! There were Feathers and flowers everywhere!! and I was very proud of my Orange Suit and the fascinator I had made by sewing orange lace and fake poppies from Kmart onto a cream Head band ( yep in the picture it looks like my flowers are part of the sign!!).

What a day…the gale force winds didn’t help any of us girls with our hair and hats- luckily I had some bobby pins in my bag!!

I have so many ideas for next year and will make sure I convince my husband to enter the couples section of the Fashions…I will make sure we are matching…and thanks again to Rundle Tailoring for my FAB suit.
