Creating the wow factor in your kitchen on a Budget

We all love looking at Display Home kitchens, the gorgeous Home magazines and Pinterest, for ideas for a new home- especially the kitchen.

But what happens when you have all these ideas for your new home but don’t have the budget to match?

The answer is to make one feature of your kitchen the “hero”- the standout feature that your friends will comment on, every time, they come over to your home.

This could be the Island Bench- make this the centre of attention by

*Having a waterfall edge on one or both sides

*Adding in a Profile to the outside of the bench- for example VJ Panelling or some of the fantastic profiles from Polytec's thermolaminated range- while the rest of the cupboards can be in the standard flush finish.

*Having some statement light fittings above

*Having some amazing, stand out bar stools

Some other ways to make your kitchen look a million dollars by not overspending are

*Installing Timber Laminate Flooring- these are so affordable now and look so realistic

*Upgrading the taps-for example a gorgeous Gooseneck Tap

*Having some open timber shelving- very on trend at the moment

*Adding in a custom made blind- that adds a pop of colour to the space

By using one of these examples, you will ensure your kitchen in your new home is not just a standard” ho hum” kitchen…while not breaking that all important budget.
