What does turnkey really mean?

You may go to a display home and the sales person will say that you can organise your own driveway and landscaping because it is so much cheaper than having those things included in the build price…but is that really true?

No not really…The stress ,time and money you need to outlay to organise trades when you have the keys to complete your new home..is huge….not to mention organising Council or a Certifier to inspect a driveway or retaining walls, and issue an OC .

So what does building turnkey actually mean? It means the house will be completely finished inside and out where you don’t have to organise a thing.

It means Landscaping including retaining, fencing, driveway, clothesline, letterbox, carpet, tiles, all electrical, blinds, appliances, ceiling fans, air-conditioning…are all included in the build price….and banks love a Turnkey Build Contract.

So, when you hear about a “turnkey home,” it means that the property is ready to move into without any additional work required on your part. …making building easy and stress free.
